Information to know before your stay 

All our rooms guarantee a dinner reservation in the restaurant. We operate as a ‘Restaurant with Rooms’ and therefore offer a diner, bed and breakfast rate only, with a maximum stay of 3 nights. 

Room Rates: The price shown includes our 7 course dinner menu, bed and breakfast.
Please note, we add a 12.5% discretionary service charge on the food and drink element of your stay which is shared between our team.

Booking Deposit: A deposit equal to 50% of the total reservation is taken at the time of booking.

Payment: We accept all major credit cards including American Express but do not accept cash payments.

Dinner Reservations: During the booking process you will be asked to make a reservation in our restaurant for dinner. Please book a table for each night of your stay. The table is reserved for you from 6.30pm but you are welcome to take your seat up to 8pm.
If you are departing on the Caledonian Sleeper train and wish to dine before you depart, you will also require to make a restaurant reservation for that evening, this is subject to availability.

Group Bookings: You can book multiple rooms at the same time on our website subject to availability. Please book a table in the restaurant for your entire group on ONE of the room bookings, you will all be seated together.
If your party make individual reservations but would like to be seated together, please contact us by email (info@moorofrannoch.co.uk) so that we can join the restaurant reservations to one table.

Check in: Please indicate your expected arrival time during the booking process. We aim to have your rooms available by 2pm but you are welcome to arrive earlier and leave luggage with us or make use of the lounge areas.

Check out: Please vacate your rooms by 10.30am on morning of departure. You are welcome to make use of our lounges or leave luggage with us after this time.
Departure is required by 3pm on Tuesdays (also 3pm on Mondays in February, March & November)

Breakfast: Available from 7.30am to 9.30am. There is plenty of time for breakfast with us if you are departing on the trains at 8.45am.
If you are arriving on the Caledonian Sleeper at 8.45am and would like to have breakfast with us, please mention this in the comments section so that we can have a table available for you.

Lunch: Please note that our restaurant is only open for dinner. We are happy to provide packed lunches for you if required, please order these the evening before. Lunch options in the area include, The Cornerstone or Rannoch Studio both in Kinloch Rannoch. Rannoch Station Tearoom located on the platform at Rannoch Station or Corrour Station House located a short train ride 1 stop north of Rannoch.

Children: We do welcome children in the restaurant however would not recommend bringing young children to stay with us and dine in the evening. We don’t offer a seperate children’s menu but do offer our 7 course dinner menu at a 50% reduced rate for children up to 12 years old. Please also note, all of our rooms are maximum double occupancy and we don’t have the facility to offer pull out beds or travel cots.

No Smoking Policy: For the comfort of all our guests we operate a strictly no
smoking or vaping policy in the building. A smoking area is available outside. We reserve the right to terminate a guest’s stay if this policy
is ignored and apply a deep cleaning charge of £100.00.

Food & Drink: Only food & drink that is purchased from ‘Moor of Rannoch’ may be consumed in the public areas. We have an extensive wine and drink selection to choose from. Each of our rooms also has a fridge for your use.

Dogs: We The Moor of Rannoch is a very dog friendly environment and your dog is welcome to join you in the restaurant and lounges. All we ask is that dogs are kept off the guest beds and that the wishes of all other guests are respected. We have water bowls in the lounge, a dog bed for beside your table and a selection box of dog toys to chew!
The Moor of Rannoch is very popular with dog owners given the endless landscape to explore, if you suffer from allergies then this may not be the best option for you.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be notified via email to (info@moorofrannoch.co.uk)
50% prepayment of accommodation is required at time of booking.
In the event of cancellation more than 7 days prior to the arrival date, the prepayment will be refunded in full.
In the event of cancellation within 7 days of the arrival date, a cancellation charge equal to the prepayment amount will be charged to the booking.
By making a booking you agree to the conditions of the cancellation policy.

Loss or damage: The guest is responsible to ‘Moor of Rannoch’ for any loss or damage caused by any act or neglect of the guest and shall pay the amount
required to make good this damage. Should any loss or damage come to light after the guests have departed, we reserve the right to charge the guest’s credit/debit card and or send an invoice for the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage.
