Information to know about our Restaurant
The Moor of Rannoch is a small, independent restaurant owned and managed by Scott & Steph with a very small team of staff.
We strive to provide high quality food focusing on Scottish Produce served in a professional but relaxing environment.
In order to maintain this we have a few booking conditions.
Opening Days: The Moor of Rannoch Restaurant & Rooms is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday
(also closed Monday’s in February/March/November)
2026 Season: Open from 12th February to 22nd November 2026
2027 Season: Open from 11th February to 21st November 2027
Lunch: The Moor of Rannoch ONLY serves DINNER and is not open during the day.
Dietary Requirements: We are able to adjust our menu with advance notice for dietary allergies including offering a vegetarian or pescatarian menu as required. Please indicate this at the time of booking. We do not offer a lactose free or vegan menu.
Group Sizes: We offer tables for 1 – 6 guests.
Due to the small size of our team and kitchen the maximum group that we offer is 6 guests.
Single diners are always welcome.
Dinner Timings: We aim to provide a memorable experience at Moor of Rannoch, therefore we encourage guests to spend the evening with us and only book our tables once per evening.
You are welcome to arrive any time from 6PM for pre-dinner drinks.
Dinner is available from 6.30PM and you are welcome to take your seats at any time up to 8PM.
Dinner takes around 2.5 hours and most guests depart around 10PM
Dinner Price: Our seven course dinner is priced at £95.00 per person
(£105.00 for our 2027 season)
Please note, we add a 12.5% discretionary service charge on the food and drink element of your bill which is shared between our team.
Booking Deposit: No deposit is taken at the time of booking but we will take card details which are stored in our secure PCI-DSS compliant system.
- Cancellation Policy: You are welcome cancel your reservation or reduce numbers in your party, up to 6pm the day before your reservation with no charge.
Please give us as much notice as possible so that we can offer the reservation to other guests and also limit our food waste. - Any changes or reduction in numbers should be notified by email including your booking reference. Only in the event of a late cancellation (after 6pm the evening before) or a no-show will a charge be made. You will be liable to a cancellation charge of £98.00 per person.
Payment: We accept all major credit and debit cards including American Express but do not accept cash payments.
Children: We don’t offer a separate children’s menu but do offer our 7 course dinner menu at a 50% reduced rate for children up to 12 years old.
No Smoking Policy: For the comfort of all our guests we operate a strictly no smoking or vaping policy in the building. A smoking area is available outside.
Dogs: The Moor of Rannoch is a very dog friendly environment and your dog is welcome to join you in the restaurant and lounges. All we ask is that the wishes of all other guests are respected. We have water bowls in the lounge, a dog bed for beside your table and a selection box of dog toys to chew!
The Moor of Rannoch is very popular with dog owners given the endless landscape to explore, if you suffer from allergies then this may not be the best option for you.
